How Cooper came to the sanctuary
Cooper worked as a ranch horse for twelve years before his owner passed away and the family had no place for him to retire. He arrived with sore hocks, a sad eye, and a quiet acceptance of whatever came next.
He shares a five-acre pasture with two other retired horses now. He hasn't been ridden in two years, and he never will be again. He has all the grass, all the time, and the long days in the sun that he earned.
