How Henrietta came to the sanctuary
Henrietta spent the first three years of her life in a wire cage smaller than a sheet of paper, with six other hens. When we pulled her out, she had never touched grass and could barely stand.
It took her two weeks to figure out that the open coop door meant she could go outside. Now she's first out every morning, scratching for bugs and dust-bathing in her favorite spot under the magnolia tree.
