How Pepper came to the sanctuary
Pepper came to us as a three-day-old kid after her mother didn't survive birth. She lived in our kitchen for two weeks, getting bottles every four hours, until she was strong enough to move to the goat barn.
She has never quite gotten the memo that she is a goat. Pepper still follows volunteers around, headbutts boots for attention, and once climbed onto the roof of the supply shed (we're not sure how).
