How Wilbur came to the sanctuary
Wilbur was surrendered by a 'micro pig' breeder when he grew to 400 pounds — about ten times what was advertised. He had never been outside and would not let anyone near him for the first month.
Today Wilbur is one of the friendliest pigs at the sanctuary. He waits at the visitor gate for tour groups and has a particular soft spot for children, who he gently follows around the barnyard.
